FREE COUNSELING RESOURCES FOR COUNSELORS
Everfi offers free digital learning courses for K-12 schools with courses covering topics such as financial literacy, health and wellness, workforce readiness, and social-emotional learning. All of our courses are aligned to state and national standards and we are SOPPA compliant. Educators can utilize the student self-paced lessons along with the many supplemental and extension activities that we have available for each course. Closegap is a nonprofit, school-based mental health platform that gives PK–12 students a simple, daily check-in to share how they’re really doing. AmazeWorks is a nonprofit that brings belonging to life for all students. Through education programs and professional development, AmazeWorks equips educators with the skills and confidence to lead intentional conversations about identity and difference. These conversations pave the way for transformation, creating more engaged and confident students. AmazeWorks curriculum for early childhood, elementary, and middle school learners provides social-emotional learning tools, empowering students and adults alike to create cultures where every child belongs.

Wayside Waifs Animal Shelter is a nonprofit that understands the importance of education as a tool to create kinder and more compassionate communities for all. Their Humane Education department offers free downloadable classroom resources that focus on building empathy for both people and pets. They also offer educational programs, led by a Wayside Humane Educator. Programs are free of cost and offered in-person (for Kansas City area schools/organizations) and virtually (for anyone, anywhere!).
